We had a wonderful traditional experience at our ryokan. The staff were friendly and helped us navigate around the area. The room was spacious, and we appreciated having the usual amenities, including a small fridge and green tea. The onsen was such a treat, and we enjoyed the relaxing soak. the location was great, walking distance to many tourist attractions, a convenience store, and a public bath with stunning views of the nearby mountain.
The stairs leading up to our room were a bit steep, so it might be challenging for those with mobility issues. Finally, there were no English speakers, so communication was a bit difficult, but with some basic Japanese, we were able to get by just fine.

We had a fantastic stay at a traditional Ryokan in Hirosaki. The location was perfect, within walking distance to Hirosaki Castle and many restaurants. The team at the Ryokan were incredibly kind and helpful, even agreeing to keep our luggage for an extra day. The homemade traditional pastries at the nearby pastry shop were absolutely delicious. The bus stop right in front of the Ryokan made it easy to explore the city. Our room was comfortable and clean, and we thoroughly enjoyed the traditional Japanese breakfast. I highly recommend this Ryokan for a wonderful experience in old Japan.

The location was great, near some amazing restaurants and the bus stop right across the street. the staff was very helpful and friendly, always willing to lend a hand. the traditional Japanese breakfast was a highlight of the trip, complete with homemade pastries. the room was cozy and comfortable, and the Yukata provided made it feel like a truly authentic experience.
The smoking areas scattered throughout the hotel weren't fully sealed, so the smell permeated throughout the floors. It would be much nicer if there were designated smoking areas outside of the building instead.
